GREEN PAPER ON ELECTRONIC COMMERCE FRAMEWORK

Mandate of Working Groups. Nine working groups have been established to discuss and debate electronic commerce issues (electronic commerce framework). The groups are expected to identify issues for discussion under each subject matter, identify concerns, challenges, threats and opportunities and to put forth suggestions, alternatives and possible strategies to deal with perceived challenges. Convenors of working groups will then consolidate the inputs and discussions and submit to the technical task team, which is responsible for drafting of chapters in the Green and White Papers. Consumers Online: Guide to Successful Ecommerce

Ecommerce is now a multi-billion pound industry. As more consumers move online, and as online media channels increase our dependency on the internet, eCommerce continues to rise with sales volume increasing quarter after quarter. The internet has created an opportunity for a paradigm shift – offline brand exposure filters through to the internet, however in a somewhat diluted (and third-party dependent) fashion.
